1. Reduce your sodium intake

Too much sodium in your diet will make you look and feel bloated. You want to reduce your sodium intake as much as you can, but not 100% because your body does need a little bit. High amounts of sodium can be found in packaged foods, so you want to avoid them as much as possible. If you typically add salt to your meals, try other herbs and spices instead.

2. Move your body

It’s important to move more in order to get the body you want. By moving more you will drop pounds and inches, and tone your body. By taking the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator, you will tone your thighs and butt. If you have time to watch TV, you have time to do sit-ups, push-ups, lunges, and squats. It’s easy to make excuses about why you can’t workout, but if you really want a bikini body, you’ll find the time.

3. Increase your water intake

This is one of the best things you can do for your body every day. Drinking water will rid your body of toxins, which will give you better looking skin. Water will also fill you up more resulting in you eating less. Drink a glass of water before every meal and snack and you’ll reduce your calorie intake. If you’re a soda drinker, replace your sodas with water and you’ll save yourself the extra sugar.

4. Reduce portion sizes

As mentioned above you can avoid extra calories by drinking a glass of water before you eat, but it’s also important to know what true portion sizes are. You are probably used to filling your bowl or plate and  then going back for seconds. It’s especially easy to do that when you love a certain meal, but it’s not good for your waistline. As soon as you begin eating the correct portions, you will begin losing weight.
